Wellness and Wit LLC ("Wellness and Wit," "we," "us") runs wellnessandwit.org. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Plain English first, details after.
What we collect
When you sign up for our free guide or emails, we collect the name and email address you type into the signup form. That is the only personal information we ask for.
Automatically, like nearly every website, we may collect basic technical information: your IP address, browser type, pages you visit, and how long you spend on them. This comes from our hosting provider (Hostinger) and from WordPress, the software that runs this site.
Through our emails, we can see whether you opened an email or clicked a link in it. Our email provider (Brevo) tracks this so we can tell which topics people actually find useful.
Through affiliate links, if you click a link to a retailer (for example Amazon or a merchant through CJ Affiliate) and make a purchase, that retailer may set cookies to record that the referral came from us, and they tell us an order was placed. We do not see your payment details or full order history.
Why we collect it
- To send you the free guide you asked for.
- To send the welcome email series and occasional emails (roughly one a week) that you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To understand which content helps people, so we make more of it.
- To earn affiliate commissions that help keep the site free. Clicking an affiliate link costs you nothing extra.
How your email data is handled
We use Brevo to store and send our emails. Your name and email address live in Brevo’s system and are used only for the purposes above. Brevo processes data under its own privacy policy. We never sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the site and send emails (our host, our email provider, our affiliate partners).
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you stop getting emails, full stop. You can also email hello@wellnessandwit.org and ask us to delete your data, and we will.
We use double opt-in: after you sign up, you get a confirmation email and only join the list if you click the link. This keeps bots and typos off the list.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Essential cookies from WordPress and our host that keep the site working.
- Affiliate cookies set by Amazon, CJ Affiliate, or other merchants when you click an affiliate link. These let the merchant credit us for the referral. They are set by those companies, not by us, and are governed by their policies.
- Preference cookies if you dismiss the cookie notice, so we remember your choice.
You can block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, but some features (like remembering the cookie notice) will not.
Children
This site is for parents. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@wellnessandwit.org and we will respond. If you are in a region with specific data-protection rights (such as the EU/UK or California), those rights apply here too.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, note it in an email. The current version always lives on this page.
