We’re a husband-and-wife team raising two kids—one teenager and one still in elementary school.
Between work, homework, sports, church, and the never-ending question of what’s for dinner, our days fill up pretty quickly. Sound familiar?
Our backgrounds are a little different. One of us started in nursing. Along the way came a personal journey from overweight to fit, followed by the realization that keeping it off while sitting behind a desk all day is a whole different challenge.
The other is a teacher who spends her days helping students make sense of complicated things. That takes patience, creativity, and the ability to explain something five different ways before lunch.
Between the two of us, we’ve learned quite a bit about health, education, family, and what happens when there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.
That’s why we started Wellness & Wit.
Like a lot of families, we spent too much time trying to keep up. More activities, more commitments, more things we felt we should be doing.
Eventually, we realized we weren’t falling behind. We were just filling our lives with so many good things that we barely had time to enjoy them.
We didn’t need another productivity hack or a 5 a.m. morning routine. We needed to figure out what actually mattered and make room for it.
That’s what you’ll find here. Practical ideas for staying healthy, strengthening family relationships, managing money, growing in faith, and making everyday life a little less overwhelming.
We’re still figuring things out ourselves. Some weeks go smoothly. Others remind us that even the best plans don’t survive a sick kid and a packed calendar.
Through it all, we’re learning that a meaningful life isn’t about doing everything.
Make room for what matters most.
Welcome to Wellness & Wit.
